- How do I know the information listed is the most current data available?
- At The Kid Compass, we work closely with area businesses to ensure that programs, contact information and website links are current. If, however, you discover that any of our listings are out of date, please send us the revised information and we'll be happy to update our database.
- I have a business to recommend to The Kid Compass. How can I get it listed? Do I have to have all of the contact information before adding it?

If you are not yet registered, click here.You do not have to have all of the requested information to submit a business. We'll verify and complete the data and, if it meets our criteria, we'll post it in our searchable Kid Compass directory.
- How do I search for a listing?
You can search The Kid Compass website a number of different ways. Just go to the Search page and enter as much criteria as you'd like to narrow down your search. Then click the search button for the results. Quick and easy! Note: If you are searching for a business that does not have a specific location (e.g., traveling clown for parties), you will need to input a broader search area.
What makes The Kid Compass different from similar directories is that we summarize the information for you alphabetically in a condensed list so can you see all matching businesses at a glance. You will also have the unique option to sort this list by business name, city, or distance from zip code (if you chose that as one of your criteria). Choose a business and click on its entry for more detail.
- Do you have a newsletter or e-mail list that I can join to get periodic updates about The Kid Compass?
- Yes. To add your name to the list, please contact us using our contact form and include your email address and the word "SUBSCRIBE". If you are choosing to register, you will also have the option to subscribe at that time.
- Do you have a print directory available?
- The Kid Compass does not offer a print directory. This not only saves resources but it also helps us to ensure that the information we provide to busy families is accurate and up-to-date. By focusing on our online directory, we ensure that we are providing the best, most complete and most current information to our website visitors rather than a dated, print version with a short “shelf life.” If you have a need for a print version of any of the information, please contact us for consideration.

- Why is my state not listed?
- We currently do not have enough listings to list the state. Please send us an email letting us know of your interest.
- How do I find a business that does not have a location (i.e. the traveling clown)?
- When filling out your search criteria, do not put in a zip code or city, Instead select state and category and click search.

- I am a business owner or service provider that would like to be included in The Kid Compass directory. Can I add my listing for free?
- Yes, you may add your listing at no cost. Please register your email and then click “Add a Listing”. We will review the information and approve within 24 hours.
- Do you have advertising opportunities available to business owners?
- Yes we do. Please contact us and we will send you a media kit.
- I am the business owner of one of your listings. How do I request ownership of the listing?
- Thanks for asking. At The Kid Compass, we focus on partnering with businesses like yours to keep our information current and complete. To request ownership of a listing, find your listing and click on the link at the bottom that says, “Request Ownership of Listing.” You can easily find your listing by typing in a few key words of your business in the Keywords field and clicking search. Upon verification that you are the owner, you will be allowed to edit that information as needed.
- How do I add an event for my listing?
- Find your listing and click on the link below it that says, “Add an event.” You can easily find your listing by typing in a few key words of your business in the Keywords field and clicking search.
- I need to update information on my listing.
- Find your listing and click on the link below it that says, “Update Information.” You can easily find your listing by typing in a few key words of your business in the Keywords field and clicking search.
- I'd like to include a picture for my listing.
- Please send the image to us directly at DataMgmt@TheKidCompass.com. The image must be a maximum of 300 pixels wide. Family-friendly images will be posted by The Kid Compass within two business days. At this time, we cannot accept logos for posting unless you are interested in an advertising account.
